As featured in Photonics Spectra, Optimax's apprentice program offers an invaluable opportunity for aspiring optics technicians. Participants in the program are given the chance to immerse themselves in a comprehensive learning experience by spending an entire month rotating through various manufacturing areas within the company. This hands-on approach allows them to gain practical insights and firsthand knowledge of the diverse processes involved in optics manufacturing. In addition to this immersive work experience, apprentices are also encouraged to enhance their theoretical understanding by enrolling in specialized optical systems technology courses at Monroe Community College (MCC). These courses are designed to provide a solid academic foundation, equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of optics.
