Optimax Technical Presentations
| Throughout
the years,
Optimax has reached out to the optics industry at tradeshows and other
events. By attending technical sessions to increase knowledge and
awareness and making the most of every opportunity for innovation and
establishing our presence, we have labored to be a leader in the
industry. It is with great honor that Optimax works with our colleagues
in the industry and is pleased with every occasion to collaborate with
others on projects and papers. With the growth of our own employees and
the capability that has been made readily available to us, the Optimax
team has worked together to be able to complete articles that will
benefit the industry as a whole. As a kick-off to the year of 2009, we
are preparing to present papers at the following tradeshows; you will

Mike
Martucci joined the
Optimax team in 2004 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. In this
position, he was responsible for the design of manufacturing and
metrology tooling and fixturing. Recently, Mike has switched to the
roles of Sales Application Engineer and Assembly Department Manager,
where he will work as a key player with both the sales and
manufacturing teams.
As
a youth, Mike
apprenticed in machine tool trades and served for ten years as a model
shop machinist for several major corporations. In 1988, he entered the
optics industry, where he has grown in the field ever since. To begin
his career, Mike served as a production manager for Zoomar Corporation,
a subsidiary of Melles Griot, Zoomar was a manufacturer of boresight
telescopes for military applications.
|
In the fall of 1990 Mike relocated to Rochester, NY to work at the Rochester division of Melles Griot. Mike was employed in several roles during his 14 year tenure there. As assembly manager, he was responsible for both opto-mechanical and shutter assembly. He then took on the role of System Engineer – first with the machine vision group and later with its Nano-Positioning group. From this role, he transitioned into sales as a Regional Sales Manager and was responsible for the Silicon Valley territory. It is with this knowledge and experience that Mike joined the Optimax team. In his spare time, Mike enjoys cooking and is an avid reader. During the warmer months, Mike enjoys a good round of golf although seldom shooting one. With the unpredictable New York weather, you may find him on the golf course rain or shine. Mike is enthusiastic about his new role as Sales Application Engineer and looks forward to working closely with the rest of the sales team in 2009. |
